NZSAR Consultative Committee

The New Zealand Search and Rescue (NZSAR) Consultative Committee was established in November 2003. The Committee consists of representatives of a number of key agencies operating in the search and rescue sector.

What does the Consultative Committee do?

The Committee:
  • serves as a link between the Secretariat and SAR providers and
  • serves as a forum for all SAR stakeholders, including voluntary groups
  • provides a channel through which issues generated at an operational level are fed into the governance process

Amateur Radio Emergency Communications
AREC is the public service arm of Amateur Radio who's members provide communications for Search and Rescue at multiple levels.
